My name is Victoria, I'm 31 years old and I'm a runner!
I'm a mommy to two little boys (2.5 years old and 8 months) in the evenings, on weekends and in the summer and a Kindergarten teacher during the day.
I started running in January of this year (2013) as a way to get back into shape and lose the baby weight that I gained with my first son, didn't lose and added onto with my second son.
As of this point, I've lost 34 lbs (from 192 to 158) and I still have a bunch to go.
I also have a "mommy" blog over at Smiles 'n' Snuggles which is all about my crafting, teaching and raising my boys. I had originally posted about my running there as well, but as it became a larger part of my life I didn't want it to take over my regular blog and lose readers.
Hence, a new blog!
The title is fairly straight forward!
When I started running, I went out and bought some new "strictly running" shoes. I wanted to give myself the best chance so I went to the store, got assessed and chose some fluorescent pink running shoes.
To date, I've only done one run, but I've registered for 4 more (including one on Sunday).
I'm going to be sharing some race recaps, how my 'training' is going as well as some nutrition stuff as I continue to lose weight and get healthy.
